Now I am truly a closet mixologist. I know enough to be dangerous. But this recipe spoke to me. The fine folks at Angel’s Envy posted this one recently and I paid heed. The Henderson seems like my kinda drink. Even the look of it appeals to me. Plus, let’s be honest…anything with “The Envy” in it can’t be bad.
It is named after The Henderson Family who founded Angel’s Envy.
I’ll be honest…this one takes some work but I tried it and it was everything I hoped it would be. The comfort and warmth you expect from bourbon with vanilla and all but also refreshing.
Give it a shot when you have a free weekend afternoon and want to experiment a bit. By the way it calls for a port wine syrup. But they show you in a video how to make that.
